And these from my amigo, Chris Savas . Chris works as a commercial photographer shooting events all over the world. He showed up to my wedding with a Mark III and a Canon 300 2.8 with a 1.4 extender… sheesh, that combo is heaver than me!





And here are a few from my amgio, Ben Chrisman. Ben is a compositional FREAK! I am blown away by his stuff, just amazing work. He likely won’t be featured on FF because he doesn't slave flashes, nada! I’ve been thinking of doing and “Anti-Flash Flavor” post though… Ben would make a perfect candidate! Sol Tamargo helped me get some images in the beautiful gardens of the Marietta Conference Center. Topiaries line the edges of this killer outdoor setting. I was SO thankful that the reception took place outside as well.

This is a super challenge for photographers as we use LIGHT as the tool to make our images.

I work with light on many levels, mainly spoken about on Flash Flavor, my professional lighting blog where I discuss the techniques and how to's of the biz. We go WAY out of the way to make the event beautiful and making light ain't easy :)

Christ the King is usually a challenge for me as the ceremonies are usually scheduled after the 5pm mass, which has them starting at 7:30pm.

7:30 pm means no daylight post ceremony for any time with photos. This kind of challenge always makes me happy to see the end results because I always surprise myself :)

Anyway, David and Lynore asked me to shoot their wedding at one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to in the Riviera Maya.... Hotel Maroma is a luxury hotel where the staff really will do just about anything to secure the 100% enjoyment of the guests stay!

I photographed engagement photos on the beach a few days before the wedding and ended up hanging out the next day for the rehearsal dinner.
