I love shooting weddings outside because natural light makes the best photos. Angie & Rob planned their wedding at The Reynolds Plantation
Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Lake Oconee. Their outside setting by the lake is the perfect spot to have a wedding under a grove of pine trees and hardwoods. They were blessed by the weather's cooperation. 60-70% chance of rain held off through the entire ceremony!

Jen & Joseph, Canadians who live on the Ottawa River, leave the cold for a warm Riviera Maya wedding. Joseph is a river guide working for Wilderness Tours in Ontario.

Wedding Location: Palladium Kantenah Riviera Maya / Tulum

These guys had an intimate party and Sol Tamargo & I both felt like honored guests... I took the ultimate shooting challenge at this wedding with only carrying 2 lenses on my 5d. I ONLY used my 28mm Lens & my 50mm lens. I never actually attached a flash to my camera. My normal shooting style is done with zoom lenses of every focal length...I challenged myself here and learned how to be dynamic with very little equipment!!!

Patricia & Josh chose St. Patrick's day to tie the knot in Atlanta Georgia. This couple's had some contemporary color choices that separated them from most other clients I see. Patricia had a light pink dress and a PINK veil.... so beautiful! Josh had pink accents in his tie and wore these killer strip socks to bring it all together (these are his favorite socks, a gift from Patricia).

One special note about this wedding: As a professional photographer, I am always looking for inspiration. My career is a constant path of discovery and growth. One way that photographers experience new ideas is to watch other pro photogs at work. My good friend, Matt McGraw, one of Wilmington NC's BEST photographers, flew down for the weekend to assist me. I have been lucky enough in the last 3 years to have more than a handful of pros assist me. McGraw is a multi award winning photographer, recognized by the Wedding Photojournalist Association. I shot this portriat using 2 off camera speedlight flash unitsn (2 assistants). We put a red gel on one unit, to light the curtain. A snoot with some hard down light to spotlight the couple. Matt McGraw shot the little guy.

Just 2 days after Gynnie & Jude's wedding in the Riviera Maya, we were in Atlanta shooting our First wedding in the United States of 2007.

Mauricio & Jenny are great friends of mine and it was a huge honor to be asked to photograph their wedding. Jenny works for the US Customs in the international concourse at the Atlanta Airport... I see her quite often during my travels! I love the diversity of the couples I continue to get.... this Latin & Asian family welcomed us with awesome hospitality....

I first met Gynnie & Jude on their engagement session in St Augustine Florida. They commissioned our studio without meeting us. The Moon Palace has enormous gazebos with ocean views that can accommodate up to 100 guests. WOW!

FIRST wedding of March (we have 11 in March this year).

Wedding Location: Al Cielo Hotel Xpu-Ha Beach

Jeff & Julie commissioned us and hosted an invite list of about 45 guests to the lovely Alcielo Al Cielo in Xpu-Ha Beach, Riviera Maya Mexico. The beach is nothing short of the actual Corona Commercial. Half a dozen Palapas are romantically placed around this location.

This Philadelphia crew planned their wedding at the El Dorado Resort in the beautiful Riviera Maya. We had the honor to work at yet another beautiful location with an exotic intimate setting on the beach. The evening was topped off with a perfect full moon that was rising just over the reception under the palapa.
